The 2025 citrus market access summary guides are designed to help growers and packers easily navigate the requirements for export markets. The flyer, produced by PIRSA provides a quick-reference flowchart, outlining steps to follow based on your location and pest status and key market access options, including pre-harvest treatments and packing requirements.

Citrus Pruning and Crop Regulation Workshop – July 31
A one-day Citrus Pruning and Crop Regulation Workshop will be held at the DPIRD Citrus Research Institute, Dareton, on Thursday, July 31 from 9am-5pm.
This practical workshop will cover:

  • Tree growth patterns and flowering

  • Pruning styles and techniques

  • Fruit thinning principles and practices

  • Use of plant growth regulators

  • Half-day in-field pruning session

Bring your own manual pruning saw. Lunch is provided. Registration is essential.

South Aussie with Cosi – it’s back
South Australian citrus will again be in the spotlight when it features on South Aussie with Cosi this Sunday afternoon on Channel 7 at 5:30pm. The replay is timed to promote this season’s fruit to the broader South Australian population. 
 
 
Leadership scholarships available
Applications are now open for two fully funded scholarships in the Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program. 
Running from August 31 to September 5, the program is open to individuals across the Australian citrus industry supply chain, including those from citrus levy-paying businesses. 
Hort Innovation is supporting these scholarships under project CT23008, which is designed for emerging leaders looking to build confidence, enhance communication and decision-making skills, and deepen their understanding of leadership in the context of Australian agriculture.
